The low down on what to wear! Whether it is your first day of class or you are past your one year mark we all ask the same questions about what to wear for classes. Here is the guide to your clothing options by classes and levels. No matter what the class is feel free to bring your favorite high heels with ;)
Lap Dance 1 & 2 Grab clothing you can move in and feel comfor
table in! When it comes to the bottoms try to stick to something that will cover the knee; keep it to capris or pants.
Burlesque It’s time to get down and flirty! This is a great class to dress yourself up a bit for. Find your going out top and favorite yoga pants, dig deep into your closet and pull out your feather boas and long gloves, and make sure you come ready to move and feel your sexiest!
Sexy Stretch 1 & 2 Come is clothing you feel comfortable to workout in, but form fitting enough that the instructor can see the lines you body is making to ensure correct form and safety for you in the movements. This class we strongly recommend a yoga mat for ;)
Pole Dance 1 No need to run out to some fancy shop to get anything for this class! Grab your yoga pants or capris and a sassy top of your choice.
Pole Dance 2-3 Bring a pair of shorts to class with you to make the climb easier and start building up your skin for the more advanced levels. Thin strap tank tops are also helpful in these levels for working on your scissor kicks and getting some good skin on the pole to keep you from sliding down.
Pole 4 and up! By now you are pulling out the sports bra and boy shorts!
It doesn’t get any sexier than this! Here is a the best photo step by step I have found on the web for this. Smokey eyes can be done in black or browns; but if you as frisky as I am I love doing it with greens added it for an extra pop! Next week I promise to start testing out the beauty tips I find again. I have done the Smokey eye before and this is very close to know I do it. Great for a Pole dance, lap dance or burlesque class ;)

Cramping! We all get them every now and again, but I think the biggest complaint I hear from students is the foot cramps. These can be painful and annoying when trying to spin and even more inconvenient when you are hanging upside down!
There are tons of things that cause cramping, the main things for pole dance are: dehydration (low electrolytes), your feet aren’t stretch
ed out and warmed up, and poor circulation. I can easily help with 2 out of the 3; the last one circulation is a topic you should discuss with your doctor or nutritionist.
Not hydrated?! For some people it’s just not enough to drink a ton of water during classes. Make sure you have adequate liquid intake the day of class; then consider if this isn’t enough drinking something high in electrolytes for class or eating more foods with potassium i.e. banana’s and zucchini!
Feet not getting warmed up properly?! Easy enough stand with your legs hips distance apart, work all of the little muscles and bones in your feet by rolling one foot at a time to point then pressing it down into the ground slowly to flex your foot. You can always work on a slow point and flex from sitting.
Most of all give your feet some LOVE! Soak them, massage them, or find someone to do it for you ;)

a in a new way. It’s important to keep your legs pushing open along with your elbows away from your head. When you come to the top of your circle you should be lifting your entire upper back and shoulders off the ground.
