Ah, the good old days! I remember trying to cover my first pole related skin-tears and burns with band-aids in hope of creating a cushion between my skin and the pole, Eventually, I just learned to just deal with them, find another way to climb until they scab over and continue on with practice. (And always making sure to constantly sanitize the poles thoroughly before and after practice with alcohol!)

Anyone have good tips on how to deal with burns and skin tears?

I remember this too!! For pole burns I always use Polysporin formulated for burns with a numbing agent. I slather it all...
