Healthy Body Tuesday!
One of the biggest things you hear on your first day of a pole class is, “Stay away from wearing oils and lotions the day of class, you’ll slide right off your pole!” This is very true for most people, but you have to remember that while you are toughing up your skin you still want to feel baby smooth to the touch ;)
Lotions, oils, crèmes, or whatever else you like to use make sure you use it! On day’s you are not taking class that is ;) It’s important to rehydrate the skin and in turn it will look healthier and stay younger longer. If you absolutely must use a lotion on pole day’s and you need something to help you stick more, I recently started testing out Intensive Moisture by Vaseline(comes in a white box). This stuff is amazing for the grip you have later in the day! Don’t use too much and make sure you wash your hands off right away so you’re not slippery by class. I usually put it on right after my shower and on days I wear pants so it rubs off the excess by the time I go to class in the evening.
Bonus tip: Want younger skin longer? Fish Oil’s are perfect! Your Omega-3’s EPH AND DHA when taken at a minimum of 900mg a day help to lubricate the skin from the inside. The more lubricated the skin is the slower it ages.
What is your favorite lotion?
