Caviar Nails

This was a request from one of our lovely students!

❈ Paint your nails with 2 coats of your favorite polish
❈ Run to your local craft store for some micro beads
❈ Paint the portion of your nail where you would like your “”caviar”” with nail glue, a sticky top coat, or foil glue
(dip your sticky nail into a bowl of beads and press, apply a thick top coat for extra seal.)

Great for an accent nail!

Beauty Wednesday!!!!

Check out this simple but super cute bun! the 3rd picture down reminds me of that one 90’s sensation. I can’t think of the name of it though, if you know what I am talking about what is the name? It was this little plastic think you put in your hair to make it do that really easy.

Try this out! Let me know how it works for you! If you have done it before is it as easy as it looks?

Beauty Wednesday

This last weekend I got the chance to spend some time at Serene Beauty with the owner Dana!https://www.facebook.com/SereneBeautyFaceBody
She is actually a student of Miss Pole in the Madison location and a riot to have a

round. Our beauty tip this week comes from a new trick she showed me that I am completely addicted to now.

You will need:
Eye shadow
Flat angles eyeliner brush
Contact solution
Eye lids ;) (yours, your friends, boyfriends, husbands, any you can find! lol)

Here’s the deal on creating eye liner with your eye shadow. Let me just say in advance I have some of the shakiest hands and can’t do eye liner very well no matter what type I use, but this has been spectacular!
Place a couple drops of contact solution into your palm and wet your brush in it. There is no need to soak it, so after you dip your brush in pull it across your hand a little bit to get out the excess moisture. Grab your color and dip the brush in and apply like you would eyeliner. You can use browns and blacks or go a little crazy like I have and use bright and bold colors!

Let me know how it worked for you!!!
P.S. Sorry for the messy background and unprofessional pictures, I am moving on Friday ;)

Beauty Wednesday
This Wednesday I decided to switch it up a bit. Normally I post a beauty tip, but as I was scrolling through the Miss Pole Facebook news feed today I found a video that I find BEAUTIFUL. I wanted to share this instead for our Beauty Wednesday.
My jaw dropped to the floor and the amazing infusion of Pole and Modern dance. The story they are showing with their bodies is sad but stunning. I think this is one of my new favorite pole videos. It really shows another side to the art form we have all picked to relish in.
Enjoy

Beauty Wednesday!Let’s talk about our makeup brushes! These things can get pretty expensive and depending on the person get a ton of use. Now we know the makeup brushed get makeup on them, but they tend to attract a lot more dirt than that; dirt, old makeup, bacteria, oils, and dead skin cells. YUCK! What you have to remember is we are placing these brushes onto our precious skin!Do you take the time to clean your brushes? Now we should be cleaning them every day, but I know I don’t have time for that. So try to give them some extra love at least 1 time every week. Keep it simple to clean them.Step 1: get the brushes wet with some warm waterStep 2: Gentle massage in some baby shampoo(works best) Step 3: rinse over and over again gentle pulling at the hairs on the brush to pull out the soap. Step 4: Let them dry completely before you use them again!Do you clean your brushes?

The Smokey eye!

It doesn’t get any sexier than this! Here is a the best photo step by step I have found on the web for this. Smokey eyes can be done in black or browns; but if you as frisky as I am I love doing it with greens added it for an extra pop! Next week I promise to start testing out the beauty tips I find again. I have done the Smokey eye before and this is very close to know I do it. Great for a Pole dance, lap dance or burlesque class ;)

Have you ever done a Smokey eye? How did it turn out?
